servers are never stable at the start of the leagues so by the time i actually download the patches they are just barely stabilizing so I don't feel like its a huge issue.

it's more of a stability issue than anything else. I don't care that the patch times take about 5 minutes longer regardless of downloaded content.

Steam client is fine if you aren't using MTX for Volatile Dead or Herald of Ash (ESPECIALLY the Automation MTX.)

The amount of paranoid in this thread is staggering.

I use the steam integration, purely because it's convenient compared to using their standalone client.
