I guess it hasn't technically happened. They introduced articles of impeachment. It's not privileged resolution so there might not even be a vote on the House floor. Technically impeachment does not occur until a majority of the House votes for at least one of the articles.

They know they probably don't even have the votes in the House, let alone the Senate. This is all politics and just another way for the GOP to publicly smear and undermine the Special Counsel investigation.

I have the feeling that the impeach Rosenstien thing is just a "comeback" for the impeach Trump ideals.
