Social Contract is the Constitution.

And plenty of people do not pay taxes and live completely free. You just want the high quality of living you get from the safety and enhanced economic trade facilitated by society.

It's impossible to live outside of the system. You can't just move on to some land and have livestock and grow your own food.

You are forced to pay property taxes on the land you own in dollars (or it will be taken), and in order to do that, you have to make money. So you have to work for a corporation, or sell your own goods which requires you to pay sales tax, and when you make money, you pay income tax.

Why would you need to own the land?

All land has some owner of record. If you move onto someone else's land, eventually someone's going to try to kick you off. If you defend yourself, they'll send more men and kill or imprison you.

By the way, property taxes have not always existed in this country. Like income tax, they were created and expanded well after this country's founding. So the original social contract has been significantly amended without any semblance of universal consent.

'It works'? What right is more fundamental than the right to that which a man produces with his own hands?

Move to texas and buy the land. You do not own the land anywhere else, you just buy the right to live and build on it.

Why should you be able to live for free in an area defended by our military? If you want to be off the grid gtfo of the country because otherwise you aren't off the grid.

Or be Amish. They dont pay property tax.

The fact that the contract changes doesnt mean it lost consent. How the contract is allowed to be chamged is part of the contract.

As if I need to be defended by a military. No one's out to get me -- I don't have the resources to warrant the effort. Furthermore, if everyone lived this way, and a foreign invader attacked, they would group in a militia and voluntarily devote resources to their own defense. No state-sanctioned military is needed.

Are you familiar with tyranny of the majority; or the right of citizens to withdraw their obligation to obey their government when government takes their natural rights (regardless of what means they use to do so) as prescribed by John Locke?

I guess it's generally considered stupid to sincerely believe freedom is of a higher moral value than the luxury of getting from point A to point B a little faster or a little cheaper.
