Trucking's a bad industry to get into now. I tried my hand and ended up selling my truck and trailer after a few months.

It simply will not be around in 15-20 years due to automation. Not something you can plan to retire on anymore.

you said you were hotshotting with a pickup truck it dont relate to flatbedding for a big company that has their connections to freight. i would agree jumping in as an owner right now probably not a good choice though. we are constantly getting jerked around with shit paying freight from a couple brokers we use

It doesn't relate?

Any job requiring a CDL will be obsolete man.

Not to burst your bubble or anything, but it's the truth.

Trucking is going automated, regardless of the freight.

this has crossed my mind actually...

just watched a video about a week or so ago.. automated truck drove from LA to Jacksonville Florida 2400 mile trip loaded with freight

but that being said i think it will still take some time for all trucking to go automated...

lol. seriously though ive seen a few mechanics probably needed some comprehension skills or at least a computer that would draw them a picture. plenty of truck drivers like that too sadly.

most of the drivers I see now a day sadly are just seat occupiers and steering wheel holders :(

I miss the days where a trucker was a trucker

At least a dumb mechanic I can just tell to fuck off and still get paid lol

Surprised he actually got it to fill... 99% of the time the fucking def nozzle wont even stay on with all those baffles and bullshit they put on there...

Diesel should burn nice in the DPF/SCR system though
