iirc that would be 1.04 (patch b.net was added) to 1.06 (last classic-only patch). 1.07+ = LoD patches and no PP items.

Except .07 never existed on bnet. You updated to .08 once you logged in on lod release.

orly? i forgot that tidbit. i joined in early 1.09 on b.net, was tcip with buddies until then.

day 1 patches have been a thing for a while. shit even 1.08 didnt last a super long time, its why 08s were hard to find til the pub dupes of 09

ya 1.08 patch was insanely short. i'm still not sure why it was so short. seems odd to design gear for the patch then end it so fast. especially since valks and such arent even good compared to like a rare diadem. sure gaze is nice with 5% more DR, etc. and they warden'd away all of the shakos.

always seemed odd that it was such a short patch but it also defined itemization for years to come with the scarcity on those valks and gazes and such.
