It was Philly choking for like the last 4 minutes
Not just a 1 3 pointer

This is true.

But they got their revenge after, beating the Rockets in Houston without needing any last minute plays.

76gods are on a 3 game win streak, and have won 4 of their last 5. Took a few games into the season (started 1-3) to get adjusted, but they're looking really good now.

Just the young guns learning how to win games. Nothing to worry about it.
I had them locked into playoffs as 8th seed, but def looking like they can be higher.

They were also forcing Fultz in the rotation, and he was only hurting them. With his shoulder issue he was just hurting the team, because he wasn't able to perform for shit most of the time. Yet he was still getting quite a few minutes...

Saric in the rotation now seems to be working. Literally a huge lineup (Simmons at PG) but it's working.

If we get Fultz back healthy that would be a huge boost assuming his shot doesn't look like he's Lonzo Ball out there. I mean the guy didn't even attempt a 3pt shot this season in the first 4 games, and he was playing an average of 19 minutes per game. This coming from a guy that shot like 43% from 3pt in college.

First off don't ever compare he to Lebron.

The sixers tanked for 50 years to put together a half decent roster.

When Lebron went to the cavs he had NOBODY when he put up those assist numbers.

When lebron was a rookie the east was actually a conference.

You do realize that's the most heavily defended area of the floor, right? Highest % shot, but also the most heavily defended with the most contact.

Basketball 101 here.

For reference, DMC is shooting 65.9% from within 3 feet, Embiid is shooting 75% from within 3 feet.

LeBron is shooting 66% from within 3 feet.

So yeah, 70% for Ben Simmons is impressive. He's also #2 in the NBA in points scored in the paint, only behind the Greek Freak and ahead of LeBron (Greek Freak is #1, Simmons #2, and LeBron #3).

Dunking isn't even impressive or hard, why don't players just dunk every game?

Simmons reminds me of Jordan, just he doesn’t have the supporting cast like Jordan had

Fortunately, Simmons looks to be proving me wrong thus far. I really thought his lack of jump shot was going to make him a mediocre player but he looks like the real deal - and if he develops a jump shot could be in that elite player category.

Still bitter I haven't caught a full game yet.

He's been good minus the jump shot and the inability to hit FTs...

unfortunately you NEED one of those skills as a minimum to be an elite player....preferably both.

People were afraid to make the comparison before, obviously because that's setting the bar way too high for a guy that hasn't played yet.

But now that there are opposing NBA players comparing him to LeBron, it's accepted more because we can see his style of play is incredibly similar.

One thing is for certain, Ben Simmons start to his NBA career is far better than LeBron's. Of course, LeBron was straight out of High School and Simmons had a year of college, but still.

First eight NBA games:

Ben Simmons: 18.5 PTS, 9.6 REB, 7.9 AST, 1.5 STL, 53% FG

LeBron James: 17.6 PTS, 6.8 REB, 6.6 AST, 1.6 STL, 44% FG

What about when LeBron was his age?
