Simmons is going to be the goat

If he can ever get a jump shot down (don't go posting a video of him hitting jump shots). Has to be a good %.

True.

He has been hitting jump shots pretty well the last few games, nice mid-range touch starting to come out a little bit. His form and stroke look fine, so I'd imagine that will continue to improve.

Hasn't hit a 3-pointer yet, but he hasn't attempted many either. Dude is straight cash money from 10 feet and in though. Hitting 70% from within 3 feet, he can attack the rim like crazy.

I'd tell Simmons to "break a leg", but b/c he plays for Philly ...

... alas, he has had a spectacular start to his career. But I think it's only fair to wait on the comparisons to Lebron. If he keeps up after a few seasons, obviously he jumps right into the conversation. I'd like to see how he matches up 1v1 against some superstars before I even think about making big declarations outside of saying that he appears to be an upcoming superstar.

He took it to Harden twice in a row. Rockets are 0-2 vs the goat this year and won't get another chance at him until next year. Harden is probably up there with the superstars of today's game.

Wow he can make shots from 3 ft away from the rim?

Rockets are actually 1-1 against the Sixers, they SHOULD be 0-2 though.

Remember in the first game, Eric Gordon hit that hailmary buzzer better from the corner to win it?

Wattt

I saw the score at the end of the game and assumed they won.

You do realize that's the most heavily defended area of the floor, right? Highest % shot, but also the most heavily defended with the most contact.

Basketball 101 here.

For reference, DMC is shooting 65.9% from within 3 feet, Embiid is shooting 75% from within 3 feet.

LeBron is shooting 66% from within 3 feet.

So yeah, 70% for Ben Simmons is impressive. He's also #2 in the NBA in points scored in the paint, only behind the Greek Freak and ahead of LeBron (Greek Freak is #1, Simmons #2, and LeBron #3).
