the current EU doesnt even work and is destined to fall apart at this rate, the united states of europe are utopia

Well, that's kind of my point.

The IDEA is GREAT. Working it all out is gonna be hard, for the cultural reasons I mentioned above.

/e

My suggestions...

1. You need not only one money, but one economy. Like the US, I should be able to go anywhere in the EU and my Euro should buy say...the same amount of ...beef. You need NO trade borders in the EU.

2. You have to abolish borders not on the map, but in the way things are done...like no passports needed to travel among countries in the EU.

3. Things like roads and railways and planes etc. have to be all under the same jurisdiction. They would have to BE the same in all the countries of the EU.

4. Things like fast food, super markets, etc., would have to likewise be under similar control. Like start a supermarket chain and put tons of them in all the countries in the EU.

5. You will need something LIKE one govt. and something like a Congress with reps from every country. Probably need something like an electoral college, to elect a EU president.

It won't be easy, but if it could be pulled off, it would be awesome.

No. The Europe is doing well, and better than before... Even if it's not perfect.

Not hard to be better than racists populists isolationists clownists anyway.

Yeah, as long as those "racists populists isolationists clownists" keep watching your back door.
The EU needs to figure out a way to be able to realistically watch it's own back door. Even when politics and trade won't work.

If the EU doesn't have the muscle behind the brain, it's sorta of like a 98 pound kid (no matter how smart he is) trying to stand up to a 280 pound, pissed off opponent.

/e No joking. It's unfortunately the way the world works.

You need to get past, just insulting folks that you disagree with. Maybe it would help to actually consider what they are saying.

And on most of these areas, we still do better than most of the rest of the world. Maybe things are better in Norway and Switzerland, but that's about it.

Although I really would like to know what this "mass unemployment" is that you are talking about, and how you see the EU as its presumable root cause.

yeah obviously we do better than the rest of the world, does not mean i have to settle with that

on unemployment i am talking about this
https://www.statista.com/statistics/266228/youth-unemployment-rate-in-eu-countries/

the EU has utterly failed to tackle the problem and i personally think that this is further proof that a joint currency hurts countries like greece a lot

Yep. A joint currency w/o a joint economy...won't cut it.
