well, if you wanna go with the rule book, CR7 is off the pitch and taking a shower with Sterling, celebrating their dives from yesterday & today.

Dybala got yellow carded for 1 dive (which later resulted into a send off) in the 1st leg, Ronaldo dove atleast 4 times today and nothing was given.

I can see why Juve is upset, at best its a very soft call. i have my doubts Juve gets the same call in their favor ^^

And the knock down header to create the penalty situation, his leaping ability is unreal

Clear pen, he pushed him in the back and kicked him in the chest, denying him a clear goal scoring opportunity. You're all so emotional right now and posting nonsense

Even the Juve fans on their forums admit it's a clear penalty. Buffon deserved the red too for his comments to the ref, don't forget Ronaldo got a red and 5 game suspension for a small push on a ref at the beginning of the season.

Insane composure from Ronaldo, waiting 5 minutes to take such a high pressure penalty, something Messi has continually failed at.

you have to understand this is not the kind of 'rule book' that provides context and applies the same strictness to other scenes, it's the kind of rule book used to conclude that one particular call is 'technically correct' and therefore your team totally deserved it...

Reading the comments in the major italian sports media sites (Gazzetta dello Sport, Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport), I see many Juve supporters saying it wasn't a bad call. I don't see why there is so much drama.

Yes, we've seen similar situations where the penalty wasn't called, but we've also seen many where it has been called. You can argue it's soft, but rule book in hand it's a penalty as Benatia was clearly pushing Lucas with the obvious intention of making it impossible for the player to strike from a deadly situation that could very well result in a goal, so there is no reason to say this was a mistake by the ref. From someone who advocates for greater freedom in contact in this sport, I am fine with this being considered a harsh or controversial call, but objectively it definitely isn't a wrong call, nor an uncommon call for that matter.
