Thought it was terrible, not scary or interesting even a little, should have been a comedy but not even a good one. Yes it was filmed well due to big budget and lot of money.

Even when film ended I heard several people saying at the cinema "well that was shit" lol

This type of movies so outdated now, I'm guessing a lot of book readers probably liked it

Did not watch this movie.

One thing I have learnt over time watching programs/movies to appease my appetite, basically I have become NUMB to them because they are so common that nothing can surprise me as much as the originals or other previous movies and so forth.

It's clear they never read the book then. It was quite faithful to the book and being regarded as one of the best king adaptions to date.
As for the people expecting a scary horror movie, it's clear you never read the book or paid attention to the original. It was never that kind of movie and was never intended to be that kind of movie.

Haven't watched the new one yet, but the original is catergoized as horror (among other things) and certainly was terrifying as a child growing up in the 90s.

Pretty much everything would be terrifying to a child. Also, the original was classified as a supernatural horror drama, focusing more on the drama than the actual horror. The miniseries gave a little more emphasis on the clown than the novel did but still doesn't change what I said. Evil dead is also classified as horror, but you're not going to sit here and call that terrifying.

Like I said, it was never really scary horror movie or intended to be one. If you went into it expecting some uber scary horror movie, then it's clear you never paid attention to the source material or previous miniseries. It was a blend of drama, comedy, horror and smidgen of thriller. The newer version had more jump scares, but it didn't take away from the narrative it adapted.
