*Lemme borrow your eyes

Me an a few family members wanna make shared plex media server on a budget.
Gonna be placed at my home, since I have most knowledge about the subject and the fastest internet connection.

Probably gonna be going for Raid 10 at some point, but for now a 5TB HDD i have already will be used for the first couple of months.

What I came up with so far:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Hq4QHN

Budget under 700$ US

A used gt 710, 720 or 730 for low power consumption. Since this will only be used as a plex server.
I will probably be using some kind of Linux and then remote control it through SSH.
I like the case because of the small formfactor but there is place for 6 Harddrives and decent airflow, Even tho it's a pretty low TDP build.
Anything you guys think I should change?

Forgot to mention to needs to handle at least 6 1080p streams, and since most will watch it on portable devices which can't handle much different encoding, the server would have to transcode.
Could be a better motherboard, will check out some reviews. Makes no sense to have an x370 chipset on an itx board anyways.

Yeah.

Also need some advice on Raid 5, 6 or 10. Only tried raid 0 and 1. But going to use 4 or more HDD for a total of 12TB+ at some point.

I would go with a a ryzen 1700 instead just in case you end up scaling to more end users. If 4k might be a thing, maybe looking into dual xeon server boards might be a good idea?

Kinda going overbudget on it. Wish I could do it :)
But sure used dual xeon could be a thing, but not really energy efficient.

Why is energy efficiency a big deal? It's not an air conditioner

Well overall power consumption, it will be on 24/7.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WfChzM
Made a few changes (the other motherboard only had 1 PCIE lane and that had to be used for GPU, so wouldn't be able to get additional expansion cards like Raid Controller or NIC.
Plus it only had 4 SATA Ports, while this one has 6. Also 4 dimm slots instead of 2 if i ever feel like upgrading to 32GB RAM.

Had to change the Case as well, Not sure if I wanna go with this case, but i like the box form and needs to have at least 6 3.5" internal bays.

Currently in contact with a seller about 5x used 3TB WD RED for 200$. They are 850days old tho.
