Conclusion: the much lower performance/$ of these new intel chips vs Ryzen is actually offset by the fact that they double as space heaters and are comparable to gtx 480's in ability to cook.

Ryzen owners will have to invest in more appliances which you have to factor in to the price of using Ryzen, in which case Intel will win every time in value.

Very clever intel.

Except in many cases it's not even the best, but you ignored my evidence for that.
But hey, there's no doubt every program that fails to take advantage of skylake-x's 'unique' cache configuration is going to recompile or optimize for a chip that will be enjoying 0.1% market share

We have to assume intel, a company whose response to people experiencing overheating with kaby lake mainstream chips was to tell them to 'stop overclocking' to fix the issue, is going to address the problem of heat transfer from the die, or that they can fix the incredible power draw issues without hurting performance or overclock potential.

As well as on some portions of the sites you linked me. The first of which considers the housefire temps and power draw as a small matter worth little consideration.

and this is with minimal overclocking

so power comsumption is only thing that matters hmm

Until anyone actually bothers to post temps for the 7820x (curiously absent from every site i've checked, gg intel) I'm going to use conventional wisdom regarding cpu power dissipation to surmise that when overclocking it's going to be well over 80c going by this draw. Because that's just how physics works.
