personally i think if a country doesn't want to take in refugees the people ought to have a right to self determination that should allow them to deny entry to refugees
what does everyone else make of this? while i'm not against taking in refugees, the idea of mandatory quotas decided by the eu is kinda pushing it

If they wish to leech off of the benefits that the European Union brings, then they should also do what is required to be a member of the European Union - follow the law and respect human rights.

Keeping them all bunched together in a handful of countries isn't going to help them integrate into Europe... it's much better if they are spread out. It's also unfair for the countries that are taking them in, to carry with the whole weight of the crisis. Plus countries can't just ignore the treaties they signed regarding refugees.

Compulsory quotas are a good thing in this case, although they must be done properly taking into account each country's population, unemployment, etc, which admittedly isn't easy to do and will surely end up upsetting some member states.

There are plenty of losers out there who are enemies of multiculturalism. In fact everybody who has ever driven his trick through a crowd has been an enemy of multiculturalism in one form or another.

You know what happens if you try to use a car bomb to ram a target instead of detonating it?
Reports are saying the Champs-Elysees attacker had a gun in his vehicle among other weapons. This could have been really bad- if he hadn't knocked himself unconscious and burned to death, he might have gotten out of his car and thrown his gun at someone

on topic: This is so stupid but I expected it tbh. We will see more terror attacks from both radical islamists and radical nationalists. May the dead rest in peace and the injured recover soon.
