1 - Television/Movies can be intelligent - Not sure why you're in denial about this.
2 - People in trailer parks watching HBO doesn't change the fact that a lot of their shows are well made and catered towards a more intelligent audience vs major networks who cater to the lowest common denominator. On a side note, living in a trailer park doesn't automatically make you an idiot. You've got a lot of judgement in you for someone incapable of posting anything relevant... people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
3 - Shows can be popular and intelligent at the same time. Once again, not sure why you're in denial about this.
4 - I never said that me liking these shows made me intelligent. Your baseless attacks have failed and now you're trying to shove words into my mouth to save face... it's not working.

Finally, instead of actually answering the question about what shows "smart" people watch, you chose to focus on my jab at you and went into a full defensive. The story and character development of some of the better ones (BB, GoT, True Detective, etc) are hands down some of the most intelligent stories written for TV.

Not saying I'm expecting that, I'm sure there will be more battle sequences. I'm just hoping it doesn't become the sole focus of the show.

I didn't watch the trailer because I rarely watch them. They can sometimes spoil stuff and give me expectations on what might happen, and I rather watch a show/movie with as little information as possible. Teasers are the only thing I watch.

But in any case, trailers can be misleading. They are usually as actionpacked, spectacular and hypebuilding as possible, and then sometimes the show/movie ends up being lukewarm in that department. Not saying this is necessarily the case for GoT's trailer (like I said, I didn't even watch it, so who am I to judge), but in any case you should expect the show to be a certain way just because of how the trailer was. They are too often the movie world's equivalent of clickbait.
