This woman, Charsi as she calls herself, repaired our wares. I spoke for a moment about metallurgy; but Abhaya seemed earger to leave. What does she know about Charsi that I do not?

This crude shield shall serve for now. I've managed to adorn it with stones that demons fear. On our way we slayed many strange beasts; the gleam in Abhaya's eyes is going stronger.

With heaving breaths, she wanted to go on through the passage. No, we will rest here in this vile place, one crude torch at my side and one at her's.

Pathei Mathos has begun to wonder if this journey is folly and too filled with bluster. He wants to inscribe an epic; but will the chorus listen?

If the tone of the outworld is one that demands more simplicity; he will suffer this fate too.

Speak now, or hold your tongues.

As I said I'm really enjoying it!
For me, this is the most original story out there :) Wish you keep going with it!

In the morn we set out, but as soon a we saw the light out from the gloom we were set up on by powerful brutes. There was a moment where I thought we may be overwhelmed. Still, while our wounds were still fresh, we slayed the great beasts.

The beasts guarded a a great dying elm tree. A curse, I could feel the death around this tree, even the grasses and shrubs around seemed to flee its presence. Voices whispered and I approached; hidden in the thickets and vines there was an ancient scroll. The vellum was crumbling, as were our spirits. I decided that Abhaya and I must return, rest, and perhaps find someone who knows the markings on this accursed writ.

Akara's wisdom is suspect, but I must admit that the stones are the answer. Speaking to Abhaya, I let it be know that this may be a trap.

I had taken some meat from the great beasts, we ate it in silence.

Keep it up, Pathei Mathos! There's a story inside you that only you can tell.
