If you want to help test: I need to know if a BotD Archon Staff (60 IAS Archon Staff or other base 10 speed weapon) with 30 gear IAS and a minimum of 74 Skill IAS (Werewolf level 34) is hitting 4/4/4/4/7 Fury. Normally this hits 5/5/5/5/8 (in Legacy D2). And compare this to: eTomb (Or 90 IAS Cryptic Axe) with 90 IAS and 30 gear IAS and also level 34 Werewolf. This setup should hit 4/4/4/4/6 or 4/4/4/4/5. So it would be attacking faster but the BotD Archon Staff should be vastly outdamaging the eTomb (as it already pull slightly ahead of even a 3 frame eTomb Fury).

I can’t tell the difference in kill speed but I can for sure see that the first frame animation is slower on the Archon Staff, which matches Vertster’s explanation of what you should be seeing visually.

I just got my hands on a Eth Archon Staff. Has any more testing been done for this? Should I socket quest this thing to try this out?

Okay, so there is a new bugged IAs calculator out there now. https://warren1001.github.io/MrLlamaSCStreamInfo/IAS%20Calculator/

After looking at all the weapons available and different ias, oias, and sias settings, it does indeed point to either etomb or ebotd

I did however notice that rather than archon staff, I believe an eth orge maul would be the best base. Not only do the mauls do an additional 150% Dmg to Undead, but they get "for every 100 points in strength 110% of the weapon damage is added (compared to 100% in all other cases). Only three items in the game, all blunt weapons, have this bonus damage property."

Yes, that set up would bring the breakpoint to 4.6. 75 gear ias on this setting would be 4.4, althought I dunno how these calculate into a 4/4/4/4/x view

Sorry, I meant to reply to this:

With 90 IAS eTomb and 80% gear IAS you can hit 3 frames. Which I didn’t see as possible but with the 60 IAS armor it makes more sense to go eTomb.

With my specific eTomb and Archon Staff (332% and 397%). My eTomb at 3 frames is doing 500 more DPS before all other multipliers (click back a few pages for my DPS calculations). I also can unsocket my eTomb and get better jewels and hit potentially 354% ED. Making it really no contest.

I even did some math assuming a 4/4/4/4/6 eBotD Archon and 4/4/4/4/5 as well and they still both lag behind my current eTomb setup.

If you add a Faith merc to this and hit 3/3/3/3/4 it becomes an ever bigger gap.

I guess eTomb is still king for PvM.

Does the 110% strength bonus and 150% ed to undead from the ogre maul sway this at all?

How important is the 86 FHR for the break point for P8 PVM? Is the 42 enough or is it agreed that 86 is needed?

Is there a definitive BiS list with the Ias changes now for PvM? What about charms?

So getting quite confised with this speed calculator: https://d2.lc/IAS/?char=3&charform=2&waffe=63&barbschwert=-1&infoWaffe1=two-handed+weapon+%5B10%5D&wIAS1=90&primaerwaffe=on&zweitwaffe=0&infoWaffe2=&wIAS2=0&IAS=0&skill=29&fana=0&frenzy=0&wolf=76&tempo=0&holyfrost=0&AnzFPA=4%2F4%2F4%2F4%2F7+frames+per+attack&AnzMax=further+IAS+useless&AnzFre=5.43+attacks+per+second

Is it confirmed that 90% ias tomb reaver + lvl 35 werewolf + 70% ias equipment reaches 3 frames?, this is quite a change because can use any armor you want, 2 socket helm with 30% ias + 20% amulet + 20% gloves and reach 3 frames
