3. 45 life shapeshift charms give more attack rating and damage than 3/20/20s on the 5 frame weapons. Large charms are good for Barbs but not really for Druids. 3/20/20s for phase blades and knives.

Let's take a couple of top weapons as an example.

9x 45 life skillers = Fury skill at level lvl 39
746% edamage
316% attack rating bonus
+300% fort

+206% strength ed bonus
+30/60/9/9 jewel in helm

15 average damage from charms


vs.

37x 3/20/20s = Fury skill at lvl 30
593% edamage
253% attack rating bonus
+300% fort
+60% rends
+206% strength ed bonus
+30/60/9/9 jewel in helm

1189%
55.5 average damage from charms

So let's look at each weapon with each inventory setup.

Gale Stinger FK + lifer setup
Weapon average damage = 262
+ 15 average charm damage = 277
*enhanced damage (plus .75 of 206 strength and .75 of 237 dexterity) = 1468% enhanced damage
52% deadly strike
----
6601 average damage

Gale Stinger FK + 37x 3/20/20 setup
Weapon average damage = 262
+ 55.5 average charm damage = 317.5
*enhanced damage = 1315% enhanced damage
52% deadly strike
----
6828 average damage

vs

Cruel Scratch CS + skiller setup
Weapon average = 296
+ 15 average from charms = 311
* enhanced damage = 1442%
72% deadly strike
----
8248 average damage


Cruel Scratch CS + 3/20/20 setup
Weapon Average = 296
+ 55.5 average charms = 351.5
*enhanced damage = 1189%
72% deadly strike
----
7793 average damage


So, as you can see, 3/20/20s are superior on the fanged knife, but skillers are superior with the cryptic sword.

Sure. Attack rating and hp are higher with skillers, assuming 400+ vit. 3/20/20s only have a damage advantage with the lower damage 4 frame fools. They only have an attack rating advantage with non-fools weapons. They only have an HP advantage with lower than 400 vita or Heart of Wolverine.
