The problem is everyone just remembers him getting lit up by the Oilers in the playoffs though.

Not saying the Oilers "mindfucked" him but there is no doubt he got slaughtered vs them in the playoffs.

I want Markstrom to be succesful but I think the problem is despite being 33, he is a very high mileage goalie already.

He got peppered with shots in Vancouver. He has sustained numerous serious injuries over his career.

I believe he is a good goalie but time is not on his side. He is pretty banged up up from hard minutes and injuries.

I think it came down to fatigue in all honesty.
