On Alex DeBrincat: "The Senators said give us a list of teams where you'd be willing to sign long-term. He gave them five teams and two weren't even slightly interested. The other three don't want to give him the term. That's a huge miss on his agent's part"

Ooof his agent fucked up big time.

This is probably up there with klingbergs old agent, when kling gave up all that money when Dallas offered the 8yr deal. Now he's stuck signing short term deals and won't see even half the money lol

i mean he could always expand the list if its just about the $$
although i guess after free agency opening up and teams filling spots that would limit the landing spots even more

Debrincat's goal is to go into free agency and make as much $$$ and he can.

He will be a rental for any team picking him up unless you were on his list and agree to extend him. I'd be open to just keeping him in Ottawa to make a playoff push. 1st, 2nd, 3rd isn't too bad for 2 years of Cat considering some teams pay more than that for rentals that play like 30 games for them

As expected, michkov didn't wanna be drafted by the caps.

Not sure why he didn't wanna be drafted by Arizona though. Is that why they just reached for Russians? Lolol

i think the russia thing for arizona is more so the timeline by time they are ready to come over they are probably decent players on ELC and maybe the arena situation is sorted out
or maybe they are hoping the russians don't research the nhl and know how shit the coyotes situation is

I dont think its that deep. They have a history of making some off the board picks recently and i think its just that they are stuck swinging for the fences to try and make all the misses worthwhile

I mean they could've drafted the same players they wanted by trading down. I could see why there were rumors that Arizona was gonna trade theirs but ultimately chose not to.

Also Rachel Doerrie the analysts chick that worked and got fired by njd, and the Canucks, recently went on sekeres and price show and said that myers bonus has already been paid and it's possible to pay earlier than what's stated in the contract (sept). However she got shutdown once again when someone else reported that he hasn't been paid his bonus early, and it would be cap circumvention. She needs to seriously get her shit together, or just focus on her lawsuit lol. She needs to take castonguay's advice and work harder. Although she seems perfect to be a regular and be part of sekres and price show, they make up bs for clicks and it works.

So are they firing most of the HNIC broadcast?

Rumours keep circling but I don't think anything has been made official.

Watching hockey in Canada really took a dive with the Rogers/Sportsnet deal that cut TSN out in my opinion.

Looks like they bit off more than they could chew and did not get themselves a good deal, despite having lots of exclusivity.

Ron Maclean would be the first to go. I imagine he has the highest salary by far.

NHL trade rumors are making the rounds that the Vancouver Canucks could package up forward Anthony Beauvillier, prospect Jacob Truscott and the 2024 fourth round pick.

The Columbus Blue Jackets would send stay-at-home defenseman Andrew Peeke while saving the Canucks $1.4 million in salary cap space.

Uhh
