I imagine the roadblock here is that the Blues want to get a return that a star player would get but other teams see him as damaged goods.

Similarly, Eichel's health situation puts a wrench into Buffalo's trade negotiations, not to mention the very public trade demand hurting their leverage.

From what our beatwriter has said, no one will take tarasenko without salary retained and DA has no interest in that.

At the end of the day both St Louis and Buffalo are taking L’s with Tarasenko and Eichel it’s all about damage control at this point.

Realistically though St Louis won’t have to take it up the ass with Tarasenko half as bad as Buffalo will with Eichel.

maybe at this point i know there was multiple teams willing to take him at full cap hit earlier in the off season
but we dont know if those were considered cap dump deals or they actually wanted him and were willing to pay the 7m or whatever



buffalo could just let him get the surgery and he woulda been willing to stay or regain value with a healthy eichel so that loss is on them as a franchise
i mean its at the point they cant find a return they like hes prob not showing up to camp just let him go get the surgery so this can get dealt with


tarasenko its interesting cause he says hes healthy and stl seems to be fine with keeping him so if he can play and prove hes worth that 7m we could see a trade happen
