Trump finally has a positive approval rating in a poll. It is rasmussen so of course the left will say its wrong. But a bunch of other polls have republicans super close now in the generic ballot so its probably not long before trump polls turn higher across the board too.

24/7 news cycle fatigue probably has a good role to play here. Along with the incredibly confidence in the economy, something impactful is going to have to happen to stop current trends. Trump hasn't had a Katrina, 9/11 or economic crisis to deal with (yet). Those kinds of events can damage a president's approval by a lot.

For extra information, the Ruhrgebiet is in Germany (Duisburg, Dortmund, Essen, Oberhausen), the Randstad is a 'metropolitan area' consisting primarily of our 4 major cities, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht.
