Better not be another dream team where they go 4-13
That "dream team" was an off-season of overpaying expensive veteran FA's
This team is established already, with way more talent already on the roster going into these moves, and they're rebuilding missing pieces through the draft instead. As a result, they're getting younger and faster at a much lower cost.
This is the right way to remain relevant. As expensive/aging veterans demand more money and slow down, you replace them with younger/cheaper prospects through the draft. The offense is already very young and loaded, outside of a couple of aging guys on the o-line who already have had replacements drafted. The defense was the area of concern, and with some veteran free agents leaving, Howie did a great job of making sure we replaced them with young affordable talent.
These young guys on defense will have a lot of good veterans to mentor them. Brandon Graham, Darius Slay, Fletcher Cox, Haason Reddick, all guys that have been around a while and are good locker room vets.
