Trade: After using their top pick on RB Jahmyr Gibbs, the Lions are trading D’Andre Swift to the Philadelphia Eagles, per sources. The trade is a homecoming; Swift is from Philadelphia and went to high school there at St. Joseph’s Prep before attending, of course, Georgia.

Trade terms:

🏈Eagles get: RB D’Andre Swift and 7th round pick (No. 249)

🏈Lions get: a fourth-round pick in 2025, and seventh-round pick (No. 219).


Another note

Eagles’ RB D'Andre Swift is entering the last year of his contract that carries a $1.77 million base salary.

If he leaves after this season, the Eagles likely would get back a compensatory draft pick in 2025 - the year in which they traded a 4th-round pick to Detroit for Swift.

They had a great off season. But we've seen great off seasons before that haven't worked out. I don't trust draft picks until I see them on the field.

Howie used to make some mistakes with first round picks, but absolutely NAILED later picks on the regular. Now in recent drafts he's getting smarter with his early picks as we'll and not over complicating things.

Most of the offense was drafted, by Howie. Many of the defensive pieces also drafted, by Howie. For every Reagor over Jefferson pick there were multiple great late round selections that have turned into gems (Mailata, Sweat, etc).

Best GM in the game. Stay mad because the Cowboys aren't going anywhere as usual.
