If the tune isn’t conservative then yes. Intake temps are the biggest hurdle, some people mitigate it by water/meth, some with e85, some just pull lots of timing. These will heat soak when pushed repetitively (track days, back to back dyno), so intake temps get very hot, around 180-190F @9psi in hot climates (on the smaller 1.6L unit). The bigger blower I got doesn’t produce as much heat so I’m hoping it’s not as bad, e85 should cool the cylinders a little as well.

All in all it’s still safe as long as you have a tuner who has dealt with this platform.

So, my pop is in hospice.. He has MS, and it’s affected him so badly that it’s started fucking with his breathing..

A few days ago, I stole him out of the hospice center and took him for a ride in the mustang.. Man, that dude loved it 👍.. He was laughing, he got scared a few times, but he loved it.

He told me it reminded him of when he had his Cuda in the late 70s..

Just wanted to share that little story, it was such a good time.
