I watch nhra racing a fair bit and it seems the cars hitting 1.05 ish 60 foot are all 2750+ hp cars
So that makes a really fast corvette at 1.20 no??
I am just curious. That *sounds* really fast but idk wtf im talking about
1.20 is the fastest anyone has ever gone on the factory designed diff unit in any form. For we stick shift guys a 1.32 to 1.45 is the goal. Power is only a small part of a good 60ft. We do better on a stiff wall slick or a bias ply DOT tire. You don't want a stick car to dead hook. It will bog or break something. 2 to 3 rotations of the tire at the launch is great.
Getting an auto car to go 1.3x is infinitely easier than a stick car.
The 6 speed corvette record was just reset at SCT Charlotte but prior to that it was held by an 800whp car. Above that power it's more about getting it down than making a big number.
