Levels 9/18/30/48
duels are first to 5 wins
Both players must say go

Rules so far:
No use us Burgers/Spectrums with ilvl 63 mods
No hellfire rings

But.. the only thing i disagree with you about is gems.
there needs to be set gem limits for different levels.
like for level 9/18/30 i think flawless gems would be the best. 18 stats / 8% life / 25% cd,
radiant stars are just WAY to strong. you wanna keep the stats around the same as the gear or it will become as unbalanced as lvl60 pvp atm.
for level 48 i think stars should be the limit

I respectfully disagree. The difference between each level of gem is very minimal. For instance, for rubies, it goes 18/18, 19/19 then 20/20 dmg on weapons for radiant star rubies. If anything, you CAN spend 15 mil on 1 gem just like someone in d2 could spend 500 fg for 1 6str/9dex/10@/8 life jewel. The difference between such a jewel and a pskull was very minimal (considering the length of duels) but still people paid a rather large sum of money for just a slight buff. In my opinion, it's the very same thing here. The difference from a gem level to another is only +4. I don't see how this warrants a ban.

The Marquise however, does something insane like 130 min/130 max dmg on weapons, so THAT could be worth a ban.

Additionally, I do not like lvl 48 that much. The reason being that considering"reduce level requirement" can go up to -18 on an ilvl 61 item, you COULD theoretically build a MLDer the same way you build a HLD if you took the time to look in the AH for the same gears but with level reduction on their random affix(es).

Since we have a pretty small community as of yet, my vote goes to lvl 30 for everyone, and as we know more about the format, figure out whats too strong/what needs revisiting, then we can talk about increasing or lowering the level criteria. But for now, I think it's fair to say that every class should get access to all their active skills for testing purposes, that way we can explore what works in lld pvp and what doesn't.

The reason I'm so anal about lvl 30 right now is because if we can get 20 players to start llding, but everyone starts making different lvls, we wont have a good testing pool. We're not alot of players. Keep that in mind.

Moving on,

Me and chrisc995 mf'd a bit yesterday to see what act/difficulty/area was ideal for farming lvl 30 items. Turns out act 1 nm butcher is too high (goes up to lvl 36) and act 3 normal (alkaiser route) is slightly too low (top iv seen was lvl 26). My guess is somewhere in act 4 / late act 3 in normal.

i think we should put it up to a vote on the gems. at MOST i think flawless squares, but getting 58 stats / 18% life / 100% cd is just WAY to much man. just stat wise alone thats almost max stats you can even roll on an item at that level.
yes the ruby damage isnt that much but honestly who is going to use a ruby in their weapon?

but i agree on everyone starting with a level 30 1st

Both have really good points... We should put it to a vote for the community if we are going to have a community based LLD group.

Between you and me, I really do not mind. I personally can't afford 17 mil for 1 gem so using flawless squares is very fine by me, but the point I was using is that those radiant star aren't that different from the flawless squares.

But personally, if I had to vote, it would go on flawless since EVERYONE will be able to afford them. And lld is all about community, not about pay to win (or get a significant advantage)
