Mallorca just lost 0-2 at home against Sevilla.
Very unfortunate ref decisions against us. We had a legal goal disallowed by a non-existing offside while Sevilla's first goal should have been disallowed because of a foul on one of our players. There is also a questionable penalty that could have been signaled in our favour, but imho it's too soft.
The team played well and didn't deserve to lose. With fair officiating it's likely this would have been a draw or a tight home win. But alas... refs aren't perfect.
Chances are we'll drop to the relegation zone tomorrow. Honestly, it's where we belong based on squad potential... the team plays at 100% every game, with tons of spirit, but there is so much lack of quality that it's impossible to secure the wins due to amateur level defensive mistakes, bad finishing, awful crosses, or lack of stamina. It would be beautiful if we could stay in top flight, but it's really hard to do so, no matter how well you play, if only 1 of your players has top flight experience and you're starting every game with 4-7 players that were in the squad when we were in the 3rd level. Let's see if we can sign someone in January, but it will be complicated with our tight budget.
