but fucking hell, its crazy how long the season is becoming for your boys

Yeah, they should really cut the teams down to 20.

If Cádiz had qualified for the playoffs (they finished 7th), they would have missed out on 2 of their starters, as they were called up for Copa América.

e: in fact Málaga is losing two players to the AFCON, as their keeper is from Morocco and their DM from Senegal, and have both been called up.

Indeed, absolutely amazing result. Really loved our first half, with a very solid perfomance.

That goal at the end was great and so important for us

Now we need to keep a cool head in Albacete and secure the ticket to the final.

Deportivo proceeds to the playoff final. They'll be a tough opponent for sure if we make it.

Tomorrow night it will be our turn... hope we can defend our 2-0 lead in Albacete. I'm confident we will, but there are still 90 tough minutes to go.

We're through :D :D :D

We lost 1-0, but our lead from the first leg prevailed. We struggled big time during the last 20 minutes, but tbf we were significantly better over all over the course of both legs.

Now we will face Deportivo. First leg away, on Thursday. Second at home, on Sunday.

It'll be a much harder challenge, for sure. Depor have a very strong squad, and their results have improved significantly over the last month. However, we almost beat them away a few weeks ago, and only an very soft and questionable penalty in the 94th minute costed us a defeat, so I think we can have hope. It looks like it's going to be a very balanced and exciting final. Really hope we make it.

Really pissed off tbh. Our DM went full butcher mode and got sent off after 40 minutes. The players were nervous af and complained every decision. The ref was bad, and I can understand their frustration, but they didn't keep their cool.

At the end of the game, the ref awarded Depor a second goal, which might not even have crossed the line (there is no VAR or goal line technology in Segunda), which shouldn't have been allowed any way due to a foul on one of our players.

Pfffff, looks really bad. We can win by two goals at home (a 2-0 would qualify us after ET due to our higher position on the table, since there are no pks in the promotion playoff), but Deportivo will likely score one, and I really don't see us scoring 4.

In any case, I've got a ticket for the home game and I've booked a flight. Hope we can make a comeback...
