Mallorca beat Almería 1-0 yesterday, after a tough game where we had time blasting through the bus the opposition parked (it took a wonderful free kick to do the job).

With 3 games to go, we are very close to securing playoffs. It won't be as simple as it seems at first glance though, as our next game is Deportivo away, followed by Granada at home. Chances are that Granada will already be promoted by then, but their next game is against Cádiz, so who knows.

Huge game away against Deportivo tonight.

With Deportivo being 6 points behind us with 3 games to go, a draw would secure Mallorca's qualification for the playoffs (8th placed Oviedo lost yeterday, so only Deportivo can catch up with us now).

The bad news is that Málaga and Albacete won, and Cádiz got a draw, so that kind of adds pressure on us if we want to secure a good position in the playoffs (the highest placed team plays the 2nd leg home, and also qualifies automatically if the aggregate result were to finish in a draw, rather than tiebreaking through penalties). Granada also failed to win (drew against Cádiz), so they'll play against us next still needing to secure direct promotion.

Hope we can perform... this is going to be a very tough game. Deportivo changed manager about a month ago, but their results are still inconsistent. They are now coached by our former captain and icon Pep-lluís Martí. Obviously I wish him the best in his career, but please not tonight ^^

Considering our mediocre away performances, I would normally be pessimistic. But our handful of wins have been in some of the toughest stadia, so there's a reason to have some hope. Admittedly though, this time will be a bit different with all this end of season pressure. Hope the lads just relax and do their thing, after all being up here with 3 games to go is already a massive success and we have nothing to lose.

union berlin promoted to bundesliga, stuttgart is going down

these relegation games are already unfair enough and stuttgart more than deserve to be relegated
dreadful managing, burning daimler money for trash players, only 28 points in the league

its ridiculous you even get the chance after such a season

great outcome :)

1-0 defeat after a soft-ass ridiculous penalty in the 95th minute

Really pissed off. We had a great second half and Deportivo were pretty much begging for the game to end, as the 0-1 seemed far closer than the 1-0. But in the end this bullshit happens... very questionable call that other refs wouldn't have gone with, but still there is contact so we can't say it was a mistake. Regardless, it's really stupid to lose like this. If we lose the next game we will be in trouble... can't concede an inch now.

Nice to see Berlin getting a derby. When was the last time the Bundesliga saw a true city derby? I remember the München derbies during the turn of the century...
