we did some... strange business during the winter break:

- jairo back to spain (a shame, quite liked him, guess his lack of defensive work on the wing as well as the mess with the botched last minute transfer in the previous window made it inevitable)
- frei back to basel (never lived up to what many people, me included, expected from him. in our defensive midfield just 3rd choice after gbamin & latza, even serdar looked better lately)

- signed ujah from china (former mainz player, not exactly a stellar but a solid striker IF he's physically still on bundesliga level)
- signed nigel de jong from turkey (don't like him, very unusual for us to sign a "high profile" player and someone that old - don't like this development at all, would never have happened under heidel and while we had a good coach. hope i'm wrong and he can be a leader that'll elevate our level but yeah... very strange signing imo)

FC Metz has won 3 and drawn 2 in their last 5 games B) We now are only 6 points away from playing the playoffs game and 7 from avoiding relegation, it's the Grenatada B)

We've been playing amazing with our new coach and we've got loaned Milicevic from Belgium wich seems to be awesome (Best player in our last game).

Nevertheless, the 4 upcoming games will be difficult : OM, Monaco, Nice and Tours, the latest one should be a win, but getting away with one win against first 3 would be awesome.

only psg and lyon were better in the last 5 games ^_^

looks like the relegation battle is not decided after all, same with köln who suddenly came back to life

FINALLY a win, 3:2 vs. stuttgart. one of the stranger VAR decisions today with a goal for us being disallowed because minutes earlier (well, not minutes but significantly earlier and not at all related to the goal itself) there was a handball that the ref did not see. gotta admit though, if that had cost us the match, i'd be pretty mad right now. if this becomes the new standard, basically every single goal has to be reviewed for ANY possible violation that was overlooked previously...
