Well now he's under the same manager he had at Villarreal, where he shined.

It's not that Marcelino's teams are defensive minded, but they are very tactically organized and disciplined. Can't really say the same thing about Wenger's Arsenal, so maybe he struggled adapting to the system. Probably had trouble adapting to life in England as well, I guess.

Mainly this, he isn't the smartest person around and he had very few players he could talk to from what I can tell.
