One of my friends is one of the national coaches here in Sweden (powerlifting) and I train and have trained with a lot of people who have both european and world records.
I can assure you that they prioritize their training around the same technique that they compete with. They are of course doing variations aswell but they obviously don't benefit as much.
The front squat thingy is also variating from person to person. Look at Dan Green for example who came from weightlifting to powerlifting but is now doing cross armed.
The ''proper'' front rack is only necessary for actual weight lifters.
no, its only necessary if you want to front squat the most you can. i feel pretty inflexible there.
im not saying im a high level powerlifter or that i train with them, or that i can even coach them. im challenging the common low ROM/low work/low stimulus movements that people use day in and day out, and generally improperly at that. sure you need to train that way a proportion of the time if thats how you choose to compete, motor pattern specificity exists. to train the muscle itself, i bet you can get more bang for your buck another way. and dont use the excuse that theyre the pros so they must know best, because for a long time the "pros" of medicine thought that blood-letting cured disease by letting evils out of the body.

Seems extremely beta to be mad @ what amateurs are doing but thats just me
Why not help them or stop looking if it bothers you do much.
i dont give a fuck what idiots at my gym do, but theyre copying insta stars and professional athletes and those are the people i take issue with. i was using the plebs as an example
