Bill Meltzer@billmeltzer
Flyers make it official today: Alyn McCauley has been promoted from pro scout to the position of Director of Player Personnel. Tom Minton has been promoted from Director of Hockey Information (Analytics) to Director of Hockey Operations.

It says fans will receive a short survey every other week, adding they were conducting them often “so we can measure, identify areas of focus, adjust, and measure again.”
The survey asks fans to indicate their level of satisfaction, from 1 to 5, with 1 being highly dissatisfied, and 5 being highly satisfied.
The survey asks fans about their level of satisfaction with:
a. Ease of entering parking lots.
b. Speed and comfort entering arena.
c. Quality of concessions items purchased.
d. Speed of service at concession stands.
e. Selection of merchandise available for sale.
f. Speed of service at merchandise stores/stands.
g. Presence, attentiveness and interactions with ushers/guest service staff.
h. Enjoyment of in-game music and entertainment.
i. Season-ticket member lounge.
j. Cleanliness of arena.
k. Ease of exiting the parking lots.
l. Overall game-day experience.
The survey then asks: On scale of 1-10, with 10 being the most likely, how likely are you to recommend going to a Flyers game with a friend?

lmao they really have no idea what the fans want ...its not gritty thats for sure

The Philadelphia Flyers announced today they have added two additional staff members to their Hockey Analytics Department with the hires of Kathryn Yates as Hockey Analyst and Cole Anderson as Lead Data Scientist, according to President of Hockey Operations & General Manager, Chuck Fletcher.

What you guys have been doing hasn't really worked either.

Doesn't really matter what info and stats you have if the decision makers are dumb, but better to have more info and stats than less.

i dont think holmgren was ever supposed to be THE GUY ES was making the decisions holmgren just got paid for it but once ES died he became the guy making decision
ES wanted hextall to be the guy and he was doing pretty good job then but then ES died and holmgren + scott the comcast ceo took over and decided they wanted to rush the process and well look where its gotten us

and to top it off hextall works for the fucking penguins

i never noticed but they did actually hire briere
The Philadelphia Flyers announced today they have named Daniel Briere to the position of Special Assistant to the General Manager, according to President of Hockey Operations & General Manager, Chuck Fletcher.
but what the fuck is a "special assistant gm" lol
Briere, 44 (10/6/1977), will be involved in all aspects of the club's hockey operations including scouting and player development.

sound more like a scout/development guy but those roles are already filled so he gets "special assistant gm"i guess
