I feel fine about the pick. Only trust in Stevie.
But, with the wings getting maybe the best player in the last three drafts in a row, it wouldn't be out of the question for them to miss once.
Kasper could be a great #2C. And he could just simply not work out. It's possible.
I'm just thinking statistically here is all I mean - like, to hit on four first rounders in a row would be a pretty amazing accomplishment in itself.

Marco gelling with our guys already over there will be nice. Not gonna lie wish we used our cap space to get brad lambert. I wouldve loved to come out of round 1 with two solid center prospects and would just have to hope for a 50% success rate lol

And centers are like dmen, even if they end up being below avg.. they can recoup more draft capital than a below avg winger like zadina if he doesnt live up to a #8 but ends up being a solid bottom 6 center.. not to be a wet blanket, i love the kid.. but i loved zadina too lol just think if he doesnt hit 4 in a row, center is a good position to not hit on

Kasper is a very good pick.

Apparently Steve had to make a hard decision btwn him and the player canucks drafted.

Makes me feel even better about Lunkunmunkun if that's true

yeah read it from the athletics

Cam Robinson: I like it. I was a little lower than most were, we at EPRinkside had him at 18; I personally had him at 17. But it’s funny, I usually give players that are super young (relative to the draft class) a little bump for that age. And for whatever reason, I don’t think it was conscious, I didn’t give him that bump. His skill level — he’s got a rocket of a release, very, very good hands. He’s a good skater.

(He’s) soft skill, but the fact that he played half the season in the SHL in an offensive role because that’s basically the only role he can play, it is very promising. The Canucks need high-impact, high-skill players, and I think he was quite clearly the most skillful player, with the highest ceiling left on the board. There were a couple guys left that I would have liked that have a higher floor and could maybe bring a more well-rounded game, but it’s hard to get goals, and this kid’s going to score goals.

A ton of teams liked him high. I heard Detroit had a tough decision to make between (Marco) Kasper and him at No. 8, so he could have gone much, much earlier, but this is definitely a ceiling, upside pick.

Only signing i like so far is copp. Really dont care for maatta or chiarot tbh. Zadorov wouldve been better. still only 27 and he can play both sides and would fit nicely along side seider on our top pairing. Could easily throw 5-6mil his way instead of the other two.

Maatta is terrible. Cement in his skates, he gets burned all the time
