Yeah. I just dont know what to say anymore. Im definitely excited to be picking 4th, but super pissed about how this all turned out. I didnt expect to be picking 1st, thats be foolish, but i had this feeling ever since they announced the format that a placeholder would pick first, or potentially at all 3 spots. Really bad look for the league imo.

Some of the teams in the play-in round are strong teams that had an off year or are close to being competitive again.

They don't need a 1st overall. Imagine Edmonton or Pittsburgh getting a 1st overall pick. That is beyond wrong...

Not to mention they say they want to discourage tanking, but by dangling a potential generational talent in front of all these teams, saying if they lose they'll all have an equal shot at him is the definition of encouraging to tank lmao.

Its going to be the 3 following "the nhl rigged the draft lottery", "lafreniere is going to be the hero the franchise needed", and then if he dosent produce at a crazy rythmn or another player from the same draft class ends up being better
they will shit all over him, the scouting staff, the gm, the owner, the coach, the popcorn guy in the stand and whatever else may move.
