Didn't expect much, but holy hell if he becomes a solid top 4 dman in NHL the announcers are gonna have a fun time saying pettersson a lot.

Martin waived. He will still play tonight, backup Delia. Looks like Delia took the backup job once Demko comes back.

This team has been playing a lot better, but the shitty goaltending costed them a lot of games. If Demko is back to himself, there goes any chances of picking top 5 and they're most likely picking around 8 to 12.

But what happens when karma turns right around and bites you?

Strange to waive him before Demko is even off IR. Not like the team is in any rush to get him on net.

Most likely because they're confident that Martin won't be claimed. This gives the Canucks more flexibility with the deadline coming up.

I believe you don't have to send the players down right away if you waive them, i think a month was the max they can stay? Although none of this is a problem since abby is minutes away from vancouver.

So when Demko is deemed ready to play, they can just have him play right away without the paper transaction process etc.

Demko has been practicing so maybe he'll be ready to at least back up the next game (Wednesday) and start Saturday.

They need two goalies on the roster so it doesn't make sense to waive Martin unless Demko is ready to dress.

Canucks goalies have played 20 game while posting a save percentage of .900 or better. In those 20 games the Canucks overall record is 13-6-1.

Through 54 games, Canucks goalies have recorded a save percentage of 87.1%. No team has finished a season below 88.0% since 1995-1996.

I can't believe Toookit is starting Silovs tonight.

I love how they said that they wanna marinate and develop the players in the AHL as long as they can, yet as per usual contradicting themselves, they promote him up to start him lmao.

He has been amazing in the AHL, but idk man no lolnuck goalie had a successful debut and it's even worse this time around cuz the defense is far worse and PK has been atrocious than ever in NHL history.

I mean, i guess their logic is that it shouldn't matter much cuz they've played 2 AHL goalies in Martin and Delia. So they probably told Silovs no biggie if u let in 5+ it's expected, look at ur peers! it's ur turn to shine now, if u win, great! confidence booooster. if you lose, no biggie.
