Beagle's injury may extend into next season. So most likely LTIR.

unless since next season is fuck all, they just force gaudette or someoen to C and get rekt

They'll have to bring in a reliable vet bottom-6 C.

Just hope they don't pay/commit to another older one long-term.

I can't imagine Sutter has much trade value. I don't mind bringing him back on a cheap 1-year deal as a versatile vet warm body.

Pearson 3 x 3.25 with some sort of NTC in each year.

I mean if you believe he'll bounce back it's not a bad contract in a vacuum but why we feel like we need to constantly lock up depth players to term... zzz?

Even though it's not atrocious it still show cases why Benning is a fucking moron who should've been fired years ago. The obsession with spending a large amount of cap on middling veterans is mind boggling.

Not a terrible contract for someone who usually plays in the top 6. Mind you I don't know if he is a true top six caliber player.

Covid limited the available options.

He could not be traded because nobody wants our infected players.

I would have liked to see a two year deal.

If he regresses next year it will turn into another anchor.

He is also an injury concern.

The negatives def outweigh the positives with Pearson

He’s sucked balls all year

Pearson sucked ass all year, yet no one in the team could bump him out of the top 6 role or show better chemistry with bo lol.

Shitty contract, but whatever, he's a versatile player that can move up and down the lineup whenever that can also PK. I don't think Podkolzin will immediately produce on a top 6 role anyway, hoping by the time Pearson contract expires Podkolzin develops his offensive game.

Losing beagle, Pearson, Sutter next season will destroy the Canucks PK group lol.

I just see no reason why Pearson got both money and term. He's the kinda player who will be waiver fodder the moment he has a big injury and he's been ass this season. There's no way he gets this contract in UFA. It's like signing Roussel or Beagle knowing full well we're lucky if the cap hit is worth even one year.
