Tryamkin captain again for his KHL team, and had a very good game.

Some of his highlights

Maybe one day he will come back.

Still a real shame he left.

Towards the end he really started to fit in well. He was also bringing a physical game and laid some guys out. Had he stayed I think he would have been a fan favorite by now.

It's his last year on his contract, lots of noise behind him come back after it expires. Would be a nice replacement for Tanev because it's probably his last year with the Canucks.

I think there's a huge chance of him coming back, if not April when his KHL contract ends then next season. Read a report from his agent that tryam has interest in coming back. But who knows if that changes if goldobin is not signed and shit etc.

rumor is that Benning has a contract extension, possibly 3 yrs after this current one is up this year.
Aquaman is basically paying $$$ to get rid of un-needed distractions for Benning to focus on the team. Though from previous history, Aquaman fired his staff with a lot of term left like Gillis and Torts.

This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. Might as well give Benning a chance to prove what his team can do in the playoffs.

However if the results don't get much better, especially in the 20/21 season, I doubt he finishes his contract.

It makes sense really.

a GM in the final year of his contract is dangerous. How many times do you see knee jerk reactions in an attempt to save face and not get fired.

If things do end up going south (which I think is a low possibility) you will not have to worry about a GM getting reckless in an attempt to turn it around to save his job.

I don't think it matters tbh, he's not safe. If he fails miserably, aquaman will fire him with term left in his contract. Besides, Benning does some reckless shit anyway ;)

This is true lol.

I just think if he knows he has some money coming his way he may be less likely to do something stupid.

This season is going to be an interesting one. It has been a long time since the Canucks have retooled to this extent during the off-season.

going in with a cautious optimism. I know it will likely be done when LTIR can be used and other details get sorted but I would like to see the Boeser deal done sooner than later.
