It is a damn struggle man.

I think this year it is even more difficult because there has been a complete 180 in terms of the one ice product and the desired outcome.

So many changes have been made and I am very excited (and a bit nervous) to see how it all turns out.

struggle is canucks being tight to the cap and can't sign boeser/goldie until season starts and putting roussel on LTIR and struggling to get rid of sutter/eriksson/schaller contracts
while Tampa just signed shattenkirk to 1.75mil and has 9.3mil in cap space to sign brayden point

Definitely an improved team, exciting to see what should be a good forward group.

Defense is scary though. We'll still rely on Edler and Tanev to carry and it's not like they're going to be any youinger or healthier.

If everything goes well (injuries and goaltending for the most part) we should be able to squeak into the playoffs, but that's a big IF.

if Benning isn't shopping Eriksson's contract to Ottawa he's a goddamn idiot. Bundle a decent prospect or whatever, there's an owner desperate to make the floor by spending the least possible and whatever the cost right now is obviously overshadowed by being in a bad spot when Boe needs his deal.
