Yeah I’m pretty happy with how the Carmen pick panned out. Especially with trading back and getting the 2 4ths along with him. At first I was a little upset since Jenkins was still on the board, but then I heard some reports that Carmen was their guy the whole time and they were going to take him over Jenkins.

Obviously they needed Oline over WR in this draft. But they seemed to see higher value in 2nd round guards vs 2nd round receivers. I’m happy their decision wasn’t made for them in both rounds (unlike the Billy Price pick).

I don’t feel Reif is the answer, especially long term. So losing out on Sewell might come back to sting us, we’ll see

I really like the Carmen pick looking back. I wasn't super sold on Sewell at 5 to be honest. I was in the Chase camp.

Likewise, is there a chance Sewell is better than reiff and Williams this year? I’d say it’s like 50/50. The odds of chase being a great is higher than that. I think chase/carman nets us more wins than say Sewell/marshall. Just my opinion though. Whether people agree with it or not there was only ever one line spot up for grabs and it was filled with carman. Williams Carman Hopkins Spain Reiff with Pollacks coaching will be a much improved unit. Best in the league, definitely not, but worst in the league? Might be the Steelers this year tbh

I think Chase was the best pick at number 5. the wr drop off for round 2 was a bigger difference than OL in rd 2. trading back with the pats at first made me worried but i liked the extra picks we got. i feel like carman will be a great guard, maybe the best in the draft.

I’m not too happy with the Reiff signing simply because it’s a one year deal in a year that they’re not really considered Super Bowl contenders. I don’t see him being a long term solution.

Reiff seems to like it here as far as the players/coaches. I doubt we have any problems resigning him if the season goes even half way decent. If not, kick Carman out to RT or hopefully that D’Ante Smith guy can develop, draft another guard. Or sign someone else again. The time to win is now buddy we will deal with the future as it comes

i feel like reiff will be good for 1 year but we better have a backup after next year.
