melewski has been extra terrible this year, so him actually coming into reality is a pretty bad thing lol.

I'm pretty pessimistic that anything good will happen this offseason, although im keeping my fingers crossed.

4/48 isn't a bad offer by all means but the Orioles need to just go all in on their first offer and bid as high as they are willing to go. If they have any hope of signing Beltre they better have already put all their cards on the table or else it unlikely to happen.

I would like the O's to go after theriot if he is non-tendered. He can at least hit better than izturis <_<

Reports saying the O's are in on Jesse Crain, Kevin Gregg, and Jorge De La Rosa.

Crain would be a great signing as he could be both a lefty specialist and a late inning reliever.
Gregg would be a good arm to have in the bullpen. Maybe he would replace Albers B)
I'd rather give innings to Tillman or Britton next season if neither are traded than De La Rosa since we aren't going to be serious contenders next season.

Good on De La Rosa. That stat sucks for Crain but I don't think that should make us think twice about getting him as a lefty in the pen. His overall numbers against lefties are good and we can use him as a lefty specialist against both of them.

I am starting to get that feeling that I usually get around this time ... the realization of the fact that we are unlikely to make any significant upgrades is slowly creeping in.
