I think you should clarify some figures in your test :
1- are you sure the hostile hammer did actually 16K ? maybe he said 16K but was only 12K.
2 - are you sure he was 125%fcr hammer ? maybe only 75% then 2.5 hammer/sec only.
3 - 2x dwarves + gaze take off 45dmg / hammer, not huge... but maybe he got some other mdr / magic absorb gear (spirit...)?
4 - what were exactly the effective fire res of the pala you healed ? if its 75% (after your 88%pierce?) then i dont understand.
Rising+Hellmouth = 85 heal max (as you said) per frame.
So to get max healed, he must have the exact needed res to make your firewall does 85dmg/frame (after the effect of mdr/pierce/%absorb).
31K firewall + 88%pierce : he needs ~ 84 fire res.
84%fr pierce by 88 = -4%
207dmg/frame - 3 * 15 / 25 = 205dmg frame <- mdr (dwarf-gaze) is near useless (mdr is divided per 25 in case of dmg/frame).
205dmg with -4% fire res = 213dmg/frame
213dmg/frame with 2 * 15%absorb = 85dmg/frame
then 85heal/frame, for each firewall (*3 if 3 firewall stack).
Only integer absorb can heal, thats right. %absorb probably helped to maintain a nice fire res vs your 88%pierce.

i not asked the hammer for its damage/fcr, i just asumed it, mebe it was 12k indead!
the pala had not over 88stacked resist he told me!
i am not sure f mdr is effected just 1 time per sec, somhow i feel it works every frame
i dueled the same pala with my mule blaze lvl 20+sinergy
1.5k dam or so and his 15mdr totaly ignored that 1.5k!
but it not realy cares alot, still nice to know, i not was planning to use mdr (on the team wall sorces!)
but the conclusion would be!
not tank to match, then you heal less!
try get get priceces what you tell, to get max effect!
ofc i could go with low resists
low % absorb
low firedamage
and still heal 85/frame*all stacked fire
so i gess if the pala was to gzz, and stacked my -res, he not heal for hammertanking!
