you HAVE to let the player have a chance to redeem himself before you waive him imo. Like... it's fucking managements fault he's overpaid in the first place, and the guy has been with us for 10 seasons, he deserved a chance.
Now all they accomplished was pissing off the room, and they also kept the coach in the dark about the whole thing so there's an obvious communication disconnect... Melnyk runs the hockey ops there's no doubt
