Legionair's Classic Sorc Rusher

What element should I chose for my sorceress
Cold. No doubt about it, there are no immunes in normal and nightmare that we need to worry about (except lord de seis on rare occaisons) and the only place it starts to become difficult is in hell act 2. This isn't much of a problem though because we convert the characters to expansion in act 3. When faced by cold immunes e.g. Snakes in the claw viper temple blocking the amulet we either make a new game and it is likely they will not be a problem anymore or we bring in another high level character to clear them -I have chosen to go with a hammerdin this time.

Now you have your element you need to choose an attack. It is between Frozen Orb or Blizzard. I have tried both and I prefer Orb. It is a much faster killer in normal and nightmare and still hell viable. It also takes less skill points than blizzard to make it a decent attack so we can finish leveling and start rushing earlier or have more spare skill points. This is only a frozen orb rusher guide - if you want to make blizzard the same items can be used but you will need to change the skill points.

The Build

Skills

Key-
Useful Skills
Requirements (in order to get to the next skill on the tree)

Cold Skill Tree
20 Ice Bolt
1 Ice Blast
1 Frost Nova
1 Glacial Spike
1 Blizzard

20 Frozen Orb
20 Cold Mastery

Lightning Skill Tree
1 to Static
1 to telekinesis
** xx to teleport **

Fire Skill Tree
1 To Warmth

*Ice Bolt - Max Ice Bolt Last - The damage it gives is very small so we can afford to be without it until we level up higher.

** Teleport - Put as many in here as you see necessary. I chose 20 because I hate having to stop and drink mana potions all the time. In classic mana on sorcs is a big problem so reducing the tele cost saves a lot of mana and reduces rushing time.

Items

What we hope to achieve in hell is:
*At least 63% fcr
*Full resists

Helm : Iratha's Coil
Amulet : Iratha's Collar
Weapon : Spectracal Shard
Armor : Twitchthroe
Shield : Either "The Ward" with at least 45 res OR a plain Tower Shield with 3 sockets with 3 Perfect diamonds in it for 57 all resists
Gloves : Iratha's Cuff
Belt : Iratha's Cord
Boots : Tearhaunch
Rings : 2 * Fcr rings with any resistance possible

Inventory :
Tome of Town Portal ( 2 if you don't like restocking between rushing)
Tome of Identity ( I like to Id those nice rare items that can be worth a lot)
Extra Mana (I don't like coming back to town)

Gear Choice :
Full Iratha - it gives 65 all resistance and the chance to get 10% resistance more. Also a nice 25 Dexterity Bonus

Spectracal Shard - 50% Fcr 10 res and mana (the classic Wizzy)

Tearhaunch - 10 all res 5 strength 5 dex

Twitchthroe - Increased chance of blocking, 20 faster hit recovery , 10 to strength and dexterity.

Shield - Either will do although the tower shield with 3 perf diamonds is preferred - they have high resistance and high blocking. With the increased chance of blocking on twitchthroe our block will be very good ( remember the block on classic is exactly what is on your shield + any other increased chance of blocking items)

Rings - the fcr is necesary to get the 63% fcr breakpoint, any res or other mods is a bonus.

This gear selection gives us full res in hell, 70% fcr and good blocking.

Stats:

Strength - Enough for items. We need 75 for our heaviest item but then we take away all the +strenght mods we get ( 5 [tearhaunch] + 10 [twitchthroe] = 15 . We need 60 base stength
Dexterity - Enough for items. Base Dexterity - Our mods on other items will give us enough dexterity.
Vitality - All the rest of your points
Energy - If you want any in here then it is personal choice but i would rather drink a mana potion and have more life.

FAQ

What level do i need?
You will need level 75 to complete it fully. To get the required skill points you will need to do all of the skill quests.

How will I get to level 75 in classic?
1-15 Trist runs
15-20 Tomb runs
20-25 Cow runs
25-30 Diablo runs normal

30-75

There is a lot of ways to do this. Eiter nightmare cow runs and diablo runs till a suitable level then diablo run in hell till 75. Or you could try out hell cow runs at some point. (I must admit my knowledge of leveling in classic is not at its best so it is quite experimental here).

How does classic rushing work?
It skips the ancients/baal quest which requires level 20/40/60 to complete in expansion. This way you can rush in classic and then convert your characters to expansion so you can get to act 5 hell easily while being level 1. This skips out the process of spending hours on finding a baal bug.

Note - You must rush the characters up to hell act 3 and then convert them to expansion while they are standing in Kurast Docks - not in Lut Gholien! (Travincal quest and Mephisto do not need to be completed to convert them to expansion)

What is the point in Classic Rushing?
It gets characters into hell much faster. You can chose why you want to get your characters into hell quicker. Hellforge rushing, general rushing made faster. Get mule accounts all in hell etc.

PM me if you think i should anything and if you wana thank me for the guide.

This definitely does not have more depth, and it clearly looks like a copy of my guide.
