You guys got a known commodity in return, a player who has NHL numbers to back up what he is. You got a top-6 forward for the potiential of a top-2 d-man, but that isnt guaranteed.

Nothing is guaranteed both ways. Drouin could start boozing drive drunk and lose a leg this summer.

I'm just saying we lost a good asset to obtain a good asset, don't come out of the gate saying this is an amazing trade for habs without knowing who sergachev is.

I honestly think we fleeced the Lightning on this one. After seeing Sergachev play i had all kinds of doubts on him,. sure he has a good shot, he has talent... he just looks so soft and sloppy... maybe he pans out but imo he's not gonna be able to play top pairing minutes in the nhl.
