because his math is flawed
I'll send you a pm

I'll congrat him on the attempt but hes missing the most basic variable. % that HM is above int.
presuming hm = 1int, this math might be close. But we know hm > int. SO, how much better and where is that multiplier factored in?

there is no % that it is better by
that value changes as the int/hm changes
so theres absolutely no point in making calculations for those ratios
you can do it, I'm just saying it would be pointless

Sigh
Hm and Int are both weighted equally (or pretty much equally) in the formula, neither is significantly superior to the other
(.95 + int/100)(1 + ee/100)(1 + hm/100)

exactly
but the reason hm seems to surpass int is that most people have base intel from stat points and also intel on their other gear

im using percentages but you can use ratios.... or just a value. But if that value changes, i'd like to see some sort of scale for the value changes. Then i'd be impressed. :)

Either way, me being the math head i am, I cant agree to the formula I read at the first post. It's got a BIG hole that it doesnt answer.

relative int worth of 1 HM (slope at a point)
I'll put it here but it will be of absolutely no value to you

= ((.95 + int/100)(1.01 + hm/100)/(1+hm/100) - int/100 - .95)100

knock yourself out with this useless piece of info

Think of it as trying to maximize the modifier of your charm (for example we'll say you can get 100 stats of Int + HM and already have 50 base Int)

150 Int, 0 Hm = 2.45
125 Int, 25 Hm = 2.75
100 Int, 50 Hm = 2.925
75 Int, 75 Hm = 2.975
50 Int, 100 Hm = 2.9

As we can see the more balanced your Int + Hm are the better your heals will be

The only reason people think HM>Int is because they already have ~ 200 Int and replace 50 Int with 50 HM which drastically increases their heal
But if they had 200 Hm and replaced 50 with 50 Int it would have a similar effect
