Any pre-built with a last gen cpu and at least 12gb of vram will do.
Ie: 13400 + 3060 12gb will be fine
Just don't spend over 1500 on something like that

Or I whipped this up

Add 8.99 for a 12th/13th gen contact frame

I myself have come to this section for a build, only to be left with more questions.

I would HIGHLY suggest, ESPECIALLY as a first time builder, to watch some videos and compare builds and think of TRULY what you need.

Although there is a sticky not many read/understand why/what the requirements are.

I love a game called Rust, put together a sick PC a few years ago with a 5950x/3080/128GB ram (literally the best you could get at the time) thinking I would get better performance than anyone else - I did not.

Rust is heavily dependent on L2cache, I didn't need more cores/threads - they needed better performance on each. My GPU and RAM had little to do with what bottleneck that I created.

I spent ~$6k on that build - a few later I put together a 7800x3D/4070/64GB for less than half the cost and it increased performance 500%.

The number 1, 2, 3 through 20 suggestions I have for you is to learn the significance of each part and go from there.

Do you want to buy a pre-built for $3k that you could build for $1.5k and then ask us everytime you have an issue? Or would you prefer to spend a week or two to learn the mechanics, buy that 3k build for 1.5k and make improvements based on your needs?

this is nonsense. a 4070 is pretty much the same performance as a 3080. 7800x3d while faster than a 5950x in gaming at best will be like 15-20% faster and you'll really only notice the difference if you have your graphics settings set lower.

Definitely. Comparable cards but the 4070 has less power draw and newer DLSS. Sounds like he was getting thermal throttled or something which caused lower performance.
