Voter ID requirements?

As somebody who works in an industry where I review peoples documentatino all the time to determine their qualifications for loans, etc.

I can tell you everybody has a drivers license. A Visa, a green card, etc.

At least all the people who should legally have one.

It seems to me that the democrats are preparing to steal another election?

My experience has been that it's not so much an opposition to voter ID as an idea, but the implementation. There have been court cases that were needed because there were states taking data from voting records as well as comparing which forms of ID certain demographics have (ie. White v. Black voters). Subsequently, states would have the valid forms of ID be the same ones that White voters had at much higher rates than Black voters. And further, I recall that the forms of valid ID were not consistent across different kinds of elections, so you end up having a valid form of ID to vote, say, in a state-wide election, but that same form of ID would not be seen as valid in a local election.

These were/are thinly-veiled attempts as voter suppression, which has been rightly opposed. I don't know how anyone interested in protecting constitutional freedoms couldn't oppose this.

I think voter ID is fine as a general idea. It's the implementation, and further changes in our elections process, that would determine whether I could co-sign not simply the idea but the practice.

i agree that is what people like handcuff insinuates despite their insisting that they think its hard for peopel to get ids. its simply a trip to dmv lol.

in reality, if they are so concerned about people having issues getting IDs, they should be enabling people by setting up ways for peopel to get IDs quickly through proper verifications quickly instead of pretending like askign for any type of Id is truly voter supression
