I think Bobb's point is that states shouldn't have the power to exclude anybody from their ballots. This power can be abused, as in, states can simply only allow people they like to be presidential candidates.
As a libertarian voter, I know all too well that states have the power to exclude people from the ballot. The power IS abused, all the time. This is another in a long series, and the only real difference is that it's happening to a major party candidate for once.

No, what he posted about senators and representatives was correct. Because Senators and Representatives allegedly represent the people of that specific State.
The President enacts the will of the entire nation, in theory at least. That one state would somehow magically have the power to say, "Even though there are millions of people in this state who would prefer to be represented by this guy, and he meets all the qualifications for the ballot, we're just going to not allow him on the ballot!" is rather absurd. And given not a single J6 defendant has been convicted of insurrection, there simply was no insurrection. Insurrection is a Federal level charge, and the Federal government has brought no such charges, and had no such conviction.
The thing is, no one from the South from the Civil War era was charged as an insurrectionist, but there were sure a hell of a lot of them that were excluded from ballots.
