Yeah, no big deal. Just remove the projected winner from the ballot altogether. Fuck man what was I thinking?

Even if he were on the November ballot, there is a snowball's chance in hell Trump carries Illinois.

It's not honestly about whether he can win that state. It's whether a State has a right to remove a person from the ballot for a crime that nobody has been convicted for.

Trespassing, assault, theft, property damage... All basic rioting charges. Why has no Jan 6th defendant been convicted of insurrection?

If there were no insurrectionists, as born out by a complete lack of insurrection convictions, then there was no insurrection. If there's no insurrection, how can a state claim to remove a candidate from a FEDERAL election over an insurrection?

What kind of coverage and how much does tulsi gabbard and Robert Kennedy Jr get in American main stream?

I heard a speech from tulsi gabbard, seems she's aiming for VP but I think I saw a podcast long ago where she said she was going for president but I maybe not remember that right.

He isn’t wrong. I went to work around 2 am that day and watched it in real time.

TiS and the other maga goofs for some reason believe volunteer poll workers are to work 24/7 until all votes are counted. No breaks for two days.

Maybe if TiS volunteered, he'd understand why they get breaks.

While I appreciate that argument, and have made it myself, the opposing side's argument seems stronger: this isn't about "taking him off the ballot." The ballots haven't been printed. This is about deciding that he isn't eligible to be included on the STATE'S ballot. States certainly have this power, the question is whether the decision to wield it is valid. The jury is still out on that one. I'm inclined to say no, there was no insurrection (thereby agreeing with you), but I also realize that this arguing minor technicalities while glossing over the big picture. We could be wrong.

That is completely irrelevant. You know that.

So if a STATE can decide that a candidate can not run due to a crime that hasn't been charged, why can't STATES just decide that only their preferred candidate can be cast for President period?

This is a FEDERAL election, is it not?
